Re: Fishhook Flea infestation
There are an other way for the invasives to spread, birds! Duck and gooses visit many water bodies and there s notting we can do about it.
A biologist told me it's birds who bring fishs eggs in their feathers when I asked him how fishs and weeds arrive in artificial ponds.

Yesterday, while boating in family I scanned (no riggers brought) from Cumberland head to ausable river from 50 to 110 flow in search of lakers to jig with my daughter....... Nothing to see on the finder! Some bait balls under 100ft but no marks.
Where are the lakers this time of year???

Re: Slow Start Bassin'
I fished yesterday from chazy river down to Monty bay. Caught only 2 bass and 15 perchs soaking worm as I cast for bass.
I even tried jigging for lakers for 15 min. near pointe aux roches. There are a pile of bait in the deep hole and I marked a few lakers.

Re: Slow my boat down!
I often use my bow mount trolling motor backward to slow me down. I find the steering is much more easy than with the sea anchor use.

If that can help someone.
I fished for a few hours in st-alban bay yesterday. Caught 2 sm, 2 lg and a 36" pike. Not bad, the warmest water was 53, it's where I caught my fishs.

North panfish ??
Hi,
I Never ice fished Lake Champlain yet. I would try this winter for panfishs with my daughter. Is there a Popular easy place north of Plattsburgh (ideally NY Side) you can suggest please?
Is there White perch on NY Side to or it s better in the sea?
Thanks
Mat
